Friends of Camp Sacramento

Camp Improvement

Did you notice the new beds in your cabin? Do you like the new Bocce Ball Courts and playground equipment? Have you lounged in a chair on the patio? These are a few of the many improvements that have been brought to you by Friends of Camp Sacramento because making camp better is our mission!

Each year, Friends raises money through membership dues and fundraisers so that we can work with camp management to determine what improvements are needed most. This year we are looking to improve the horseshoe pits, ping pong tables, and the furniture in the lodge, among other projects.

Unfortunatly, Friends support for these improvements is vital. Camp fees, which you pay to the City of Sacramento, support day-to-day operations, not facility improvements and cabin furniture upgrades that are needed at a nearly 100 year old camp.

Some of the camp improvements have included:

  • Playground equipment
  • Speakers and public address system
